The Institute of Sambalpur, which has been set up in 2015, is a rather new IMI. It offers a wide range of management programmes, including the flagship Post graduation programme in Management, which is a two year full time programme. Apart from PGP, IIM Sambalpur also offers a Post Graduate Program in Management for Working Executives (PGPWE) and a PhD programme in management. Individual interests and career aspirations will determine what is the best course of action at IIM Sambalpur. Indian Institute of Management Sambalpur has three hostel buildings, two for boys and one for girls. The rooms are provided to the students of IIM Sambalpur on a twin-sharing basis. The campus is wifi enabled. For the purpose of students' leisure activities, each hostel has its own common room where televisions and table tennis equipment are installed.
At the moment, there is no provision for married students, which means they can't live in a hotel with their families. For students, staying at the dormitory is mandatory. In each dorm, essential equipment such as a washing machine, refrigerator, and TV are available.
