NIT Rourkela offers admission to MSc specialisations on the basis of IIT JAM exam results, followed by CCMN counselling. NIT Rourkela CCMN cutoff has been released for round 5. The cutoff was released category-wise for the All India category candidates. Among the General AI category, the closing ranks varied between 192 and 1020. The most competitive specialisation among the General AI category candidates turned out to be M.Sc. in Life Science.

According to statements and brochures released on the SVNIRTAR official website, candidates can only apply for one course through one application form in SVNIRTAR. Moreover they may not make more than one application for a course, if a candidate is found having made multiple applications for a single course through multiple accounts, all of their applications will be cancelled regardless of their results on the merit list.

SVNIRTAR hosts Campus Recruitment drives every year where various companies send recruiters to interview students in their final year. To become eligible for these placements one must have not only complete their previous years at SVNIRTAR but also have completed the mandatory internship of 6 months for students of UG Courses BPT, BOT or BPO and whereas the BASLP course requires a completion of 1 year Internship.

SVNIRTAR College is a govt. institution and has solid infrastructure with a large campus, spacious & ventilated classrooms, library equipped with all relevant reading materials, hygienic washrooms and well-stocked canteen. SVNIRTAR also offers separate gyms and hostels for boys and girls and comes equipped with a hospital right beside the hostel.

Yes, SVNIRTAR offers separate girls and boys hostel for students on a first-come first-serve basis. The hostel comes equipped with a hospital located right next to the hostel building and gyms for boys and girls are also available on campus for any students to use. Hostels at SVNIRTAR have an annual fee of INR 12,000 for UG students and INR 15,000 for PG students.

No, to pursue a PG course like Masters in Physiotherapy from SVNIRTAR an applicant must have completed the following requirements:
- One must have completed a full-time regular BPT or BSc (PT) course at any University
- Completed any and all requirements of the degree course
- Complete the required Internship duration of 6 months for the above course before 29-07-2025
