Yes, you can 👍

At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, a 2-year gap is generally not an issue for admission.

You'll just need to:

  • Meet the usual eligibility (JEE/board criteria)
  • Provide a gap affidavit/explanation if asked

As long as your documents are in order, the gap won't stop your admission.

Yes — with 98.33% in PCM, you're in a very strong position for Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology 👍

Through the board merit category, you should have:

  • High chances for CSE / COE
  • Almost certain chances for all other branches

Being from Rajasthan doesn't matter much here — your score is strong enough.

Just make sure you:

  • Apply early
  • Participate in counselling rounds properly

You're pretty much safe for top branches. Good score 👌

You've got solid options ,so let's keep it simple and real.

Top pick (overall):
👉 Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (Biotech) or Indian Institute of Technology Ropar (Mechanical)
IIT tag + exposure + long-term value is hard to beat.

If you're 100% sure about coding/tech:
👉 LNM Institute of Information Technology (CSE) is a very strong choice
👉 IIIT (like Indian Institute of Information Technology, Kancheepuram) also good, but check dual degree commitment

About Thapar:
👉 Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (CSE) is good, but in your case, your other options are stronger

Simple decision:

  • Want IIT brand + flexibility →
...more

Yes, you can visit Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.

The campus is generally open on working days, and there's an admissions/help desk where you can get details about courses, cutoffs, and counselling.

Just a couple of tips:

  • Go on a weekday (Mon–Fri) during office hours
  • Carry basic docs (marksheets, ID) just in case
  • If possible, check or call ahead to confirm timings

It's actually a good idea — you'll get much clearer information face-to-face 👍

Dear reader,

MBA at LPU is  a great choice.

Both LPU and LMTSM provide excellent MBA programs with clear benefits. If you are looking for an internationally synchronized, research-focused curriculum inside Thapar's esteemed ecosystem, LMTSM is the perfect choice. Large-scale infrastructure, varied networking, and high-volume installations are areas in which LPU thrives. Your decision should be based on whether you value broad corporate experience (LPU) or specialised academic rigor (LMTSM).

For more information kindly contact their concerned department.

I hope this information helps.

At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology:

  • Main campus = better faculty, exposure, peer group
  • Stronger placement opportunities
  • More companies + better overall environment

Dera Bassi campus is newer, so:

  • Fewer opportunities comparatively
  • Placements are okay but not at Patiala level

Even in 2020, most top companies and higher packages were centered around the Patiala campus.

So if you have the choice → CSE Patiala > CSE Dera Bassi 👍

Yeah, Thapar does have that board merit route with JEE as a tiebreaker.

For CSE at Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, it's quite competitive even through boards.

Rough idea:

  • You usually need around 95–97%+ in PCM to be safe
  • With 93–95%, chances become borderline (depends on year)
  • JEE percentile helps only in tie situations

Cutoffs fluctuate every year based on demand, but CSE is always the highest.

So if your board % is very strong, you've got a shot — otherwise it gets tough 👍

no, not really.

At Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, there's no direct/management quota admission like some private colleges.

Admissions are mainly through:

  • JEE Main score
  • 12th PCM marks (board merit category in some rounds)

If someone is offering you a “direct paid seat,” be careful — that's usually not genuine.

Only legit way is through their official admission process

For Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (recent cycles), B.Tech admissions usually:

  • Applications close around May–June (with possible extensions)
  • Counselling rounds continue till July–August

Exact dates change every year, so the safest move is to apply early and track rounds.
