DDE stands for 'Directorate of Distance Education'. The course can be completed under the two modes that are offered by the university I.e the direct/conventional mode or the Twinning Programme – through authorized Institutions by the Pondicherry University.

There is no such thing as the 'best' degree course. DDE Pondicherry does offer 8 degree courses under the undergraduate course and 4 courses under the post graduate course. The university is mainly known for its MBA course under which there are 8 streams to choose from which can be completed through two modes which is either the conventional/direct mode or the twinning mode.

When you clear the 7th semester you become eligible for campus placement or internship. Various hospitals recruit fresher nursing staff. The average package is INR 18-20k per month. The exact salary depends on the hospital to hospital. For getting placement you will have to go through a written test round followed by in personal interview.
