Yes of course. But all depends on your perspective towards study & hard work. Placements are not good but as a whole there's very holistic study environment here.

There's almost negligible chance even for SC/ST reservation students opting for Northeastern Quota. At least from last year.

MBA in Tezpur University is really good especially due to its department but as per recent stats its placement is not at par with any of the PAN India institutions. As a whole, its great to do MBA there.

If you do not give much attention to placements, then Tezpur University boasts of having one of the finest study environment & faculty in Northeast. Some professors here are renowned guest faculties of other institutions.

At present, both have equal placements, but ECE has a good reputation, so what others say as a brand, but it clearly depends on you. As a whole, I'll suggest is to test yourself for your desires & capabilities before deciding it as both are good here.

Placements are best if you dream to research outside India. I.e. placements are not up to the mark until you clear GATE, get references from the best of the faculties of N.E which you'll find here and apply yourself. Corporates are really least interested in Tezpur University.
