Yes, But you will not eligible for the reservation for home state  students.Because the reservation is for the students who studied 11th and 12th in the state where the NIT is situated. The 50% seats are filled through home state quota. The remaining 50% is filled with the students from other states.You can get an admission if you had scored an eligible score in JEE. 

For the regular full-time M.Sc. Botany program at Bharathidasan University (main campus, Tiruchirappalli) for the 2025–2026 session, no separate entrance exam is conducted. Admission is based on undergraduate (B.Sc.) merit, and the process is handled through their official online admission portal .

Bharathidasan University admissions are both merit and entrance-based. The university considers scores in TANCET for MBA and CEETA PG for MTech. The university conducts an entrance test for admission to Integrated BTech programme. The selection to a few courses is merit-based.
