Yes, you can defer your admission to a future intake at the Uni of Hertfordshire, usually by one academic year or the next available intake for your specific program.
Admission deferral process can be carried out in the following ways:
- Students with un-enrolled offer can contact the Ask Herts team or the University of Hertfordshire International Office for guidance regarding the same
- Students who already started their course and need to pause mid-studies can submit a Voluntary Suspension of Studies form via the student portal

Indian students can expect to receive a CAS letter from the University of Hertfordshire from anywhere between 2 to 4 weeks, depending on whether:
- Pre-CAS checks and interviews like compliance, eligibility, and credential verifications are cleared successfully
- Proper processing of the academic and financial documents (such as tuition fee despot receipt)
- Successful clearance of the pre-CAS/sponsorship interview
During peak admission periods (generally right before the Jan and Sep intakes), the processing times can stretch. Students are therefore advised to apply early (ideally 6 to 9 months) before the intended intake.
