Banaras Hindu University is a government university which was established in 1916. Being a government university, the fee is not very high. Even if the students find the fee a little high, they can apply for scholarships provided by the university. BHU is ranked 5th and 11th in the ‘University’ and ‘Overall’ categories by the NIRF Rankings 2023.

Yes, studying at BHU is quite good. The university infrastructure is good. There is a big central library available in campus. The Banaras Hindu University Library System consists of various libraries such as a Central Library at the apex and four Institute Libraries, seven faculty Libraries, 17 Departmental Libraries and three school libraries.

Yes, Class 12 marks are considered for admission to BHU. The candidates willing to get admission to BTech must have 50%-75 % aggregate in accepted entrance exams such as JEE Main,  JEE Advanced,  CUET, and others. For admission to BSc, students must have 50% aggregate in Class 12.

The annual fee is inclusive of various charges such as hostel fee, mess fess, maintainace charges and others.

Yes, BHU entrance exam is quite tough as the competition is high. To get admission, candidates must have valid scores in accepted entrance exams such as CUET-PG,  CAT,  BHU PET, and others. Cracking BHU entrance examination is a little bit tough but it is not impossible. All the student has to do is practice the sample question papers. Work hard and prepare prior to the entrance exams.

Students who live in hostel, wake up at 8 AM and around 9 AM to get ready to go to the mess to have their morning breakfast. Then students go to their classes or go to library to study. During the lunch team students are there in canteen. Afterwards, students attend other lectures and in the evening there are after college practices held for fests, competitions, and others.
