Congrats! You can get into mechanical branch if your AIR lies between 6000 to 7500. After 1st year you will have a chance of branch slide based on your 1st year score. I'll prefer you to opt for the NIT, Tripura as this college has better placements than NIT, Warangal in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.

It should be more than 98.8 percentile in order to get a seat in NIT, Warangal or Trichy. These are the top most institutes of JEE Mains that's why they need a high score and only top 500 to 1500 students get seat there.

The new academic session will start in the month of August i.e. in the first week of August and will last till the exams in the December and then new semester will start in January last week and lasts till may last week.
