Jadavpur University accepts WBJEE scores for admissions into the BTech courses. However, the 12th standard qualifying exam eligibility criteria is minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for reserved category). The students should also have minimum 60% in Mathematics and a pass mark in English.

Jadavpur University has been ranked among the best institutes for BSc courses. While certain similar institutes such as BHU and Jamia Milia are ranked higher than Jadavpur, the difference between them is very minor. Other similar institutes are ranked much lower than Jadavpur Univeristy. The aforemention rank comparison was performed using the NIRF ranks of all institutes.

The Jadavpur University is ranked 18 by the NIRF in 2025. However, the NIRF rank for other similar institutes is around 20 - 45 ranks which means that the BE courses at Jadavpur University follow a higher level of quality for their course.

The syllabus of the WBJEE entrance exam is very similar to the Class 12 board exam syllabus for the PCM stream. The WBJEE entrance exam is mostly comprised of the 3 main subjects which are Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics. Hence, candidates are advised to prepare the aforementioned subjects with all the topics that are covered in the Class 12 PCM syllabus for these subjects.

Yes, all students of the BE courses at Jadavpur University are required to pursue internships during their course curriculum. Several BE specialisation courses also require candidates to pursue a capstone project in the final year of their BE course for graduation. Candidates will receive breaks in between their curriculum to pursue the necessary internships.

No, CEMK -College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat is not under CUET. The college accepts scores of various other entrance exams for admission in the courses offered. These include JEE Main, WBJEE, etc. Candidates must appear for any of these exams and achieve a valid aggregate in the same to take admission in CEMK -College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat.

For taking admission in College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat, candidates must first appear for the entrance exams accepted by the college. After which they have to regsiter with the institute. Based on the scores of these entrance exams, admissions are granted. However, the time frame of admission confirmation has not be specified by College of Engineering & Management, Kolaghat.
