• Gender: Only female candidates are eligible.
• Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
• Education: Must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB), and English with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
• Age: Usually between 17 and 24 years old at the time of admission.
• Marital Status: Must be unmarried.
• Medical Fitness: Candidates must be medically fit as per the standards set by the Indian Army. 

1. Appear for NEET (UG): For recent admission cycles, candidates are first required to register and appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG). A valid NEET score is mandatory.
2. Online Application and Screening:
   • Monitor the official website of the Indian Army's Join Indian Army portal.
   • Fill out the application form when the notification is released (usually between February and May). You must enter your NEET details during this application process.
   • Candidates are then shortlisted based on their NEET (UG) score.
3. Selection Rounds (To be held at Command Hospital, Lucknow): Shortlisted candidates are called to a designated centre, often Command Hospital, Lucknow itself, for the final selection rounds:
   • Computer Based Test (To test General Intelligence & General English): A written examination specifically for the Armed Forces.
   • Psychological Assessment Test (PAT): A test to assess suitability for the demands of military nursing.
   • Interview: A formal interview with a board of officers.
   • Medical Examination: A thorough medical examination to ensure candidates meet the strict military medical standards.
4. Final Merit List and Admission:
   • A final merit list is prepared based on performance in all selection stages.
   • Candidates are then allocated seats in one of the various Colleges of Nursing under the DGAFMS across India (including Command Hospital, Lucknow).
