Yes, but it depends on the course that you take.
If you are choosing a engineering degree on the following departments (CSE, IT, CSE (IOT), AIDS, CYBER SECURITY, ECE) you might not worry about the placements if you are good in your studies and skills.
But if you choose other departments then you must shine among a plenty of students to get placed.
A placement committee will be there to guide you throughout the placement process and also aptitude tests and classes will be conducted from your 2nd year.
The college also insists you to undergo internships in your 5th and 7th semester which boosts your resume.
