The duration of the CUCET exam depends on the CUCET you're referring to. There are two main possibilities:
CUET (Common University Entrance Test): This is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and research programs in various Central Universities. The total duration of the CUET exam is 2 hours (120 minutes).
Chandigarh University CUCET ( CUCET Chandigarh University): This is a separate entrance exam conducted by Chandigarh University for admission to their undergraduate programs. The duration of the Chandigarh University CUCET exam is also 2 hours (120 minutes).

CUCET paper will consist of objective multiple-choice questions. For every question, the candidates will be provided with multiple options. The candidates will have to select their choice of answer from the provided options. CUCET question paper will be prepared by referring to the official syllabus. Therefore, the candidates are advised to be famliar with the syllabus and to prepare for the exam by referring to it. For every correct answer, the candidates will be allotted one mark.

However, every student will have to attempt English/Hindi section in the examination. Students who have studied in the commerce stream in 10+2th standard will have to study the various units and topics from English, Economics, Accountancy and Commerce. The total number of questions that the students will have to answer in the CUCET paper is 100. There will be 30 questions each in Economics, Accountancy and Commerce. The English section will consist of 10 questions. It is to be noted that all questions will be multiple-choice and the candidates will have to select the correct answer from the given options.

CUCET consists of 100 objective multiple-choice questions that the candidates will have to answer within the allotted duration. However, the division of questions in the CUCET paper varies as per the stream of the candidates in the 10+2th standard. However, the English section is common and compulsory for all candidates irrespective of their stream. For candidates from the non-medical stream with Chemistry, the sections in the paper will be English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

The marking scheme of CUCET is prepared and released online by the authorities of Chandigarh University. As per the official marking scheme, the candidates will be allotted one mark for each correct answer. There will be no negative marking. Unattempted questions will also remain unmarked. Since there is no negative marking, the candidates are advised to attempt as many questions as possible so that they have a higher chance of securing the marks required for admission into the preferred courses.
