The college is affiliated to the University of Madras and is managed by DAV Group Chennai. In 2023, the SMK Fomra College of Arts & Sciences entered into a management partnership with DAV Group Chennai and hence, was re-branded as DAV-SMK Fomra College (Arts & Science). The DAV Group Chennai is currently offering education to over 42,000 students across 10 owned schools and 7 managed schools.
