Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology has defined the seat reservation policy to be followed for the allocation of seats. As per an official brochure, the university follows the rules of reservation laid by the State of Haryana. The reservation policy is designed to promote fair opportunity in admissions. JEE Main is a national-level test accepted by many BTech-offering colleges, including DCRUST. As per the NTAs announcement, the JEE Main Session 1 exam has already been conducted. The JEE Main Session 2 exam is scheduled to be held between Apr 2 and Apr 8, 2025  (except Apr 5 & Apr 6).

Admission to DCRUST BTech courses is offered based on students merit in the JEE Main exam. Moreover, the allocation of BTech seats is done via the HSTES counselling process. As per the latest cutoff information available, the HSTES last round closing rank for the General All India category in 2024 stood ranged from 113522 to 169183.

The allocation of DCRUST BTech seats is done on the basis of JEE Main scores. Those who have appeared for the exam and are willing to take admission must participate in the HSTES counselling process. To be able to participate, students must fill out the application form and pay the participation fees.

DCRUST offers BTech courses in affiliation with over 11 affiliated colleges. Due to which, the university boasts a high number of BTech seats. Some of the colleges with prominent seat intakes include the International Institute of Technology and Management, PM Group of Institutions, and more. Out of all the affiliated colleges and institutes, PM Group of Institutions has the highest intake with 540 seats.

The fee to apply for this counselling round are INR 1,000 for the general category and INR 700 for all reserved categories (SC/SCD/BC/PH/FF/ESM/KM/Girls).
