Some tips that I would like to give to a first-year student studying in my college are as follows:-
Don't depend on the professors or the teachers for the study material. Try to make your own notes.
If you think that the whole syllabus will be taught in the class then you are wrong. You have to put in some extra effort yourself to do it.
Frankly speaking, the classes here are not so regular. Hence, I advise you to give your main focus on self-study.
Many curricular activities take place round the year. So, you may participate in the activities that you like.

There is a prescribed dress code for the students of the Institution. Sky-colored check Kurta having round shape collar, white Shalwar and white dupatta (cotton), black seater in the winter season, and canvas shoes are prescribed as the dress code of the Institution. The dress code shall be followed by the students from the day the academic session begins without which the student will not be permitted to enter the Institution.

The campus of DDU is large, even bigger than some IITs, even students of DDU used to participate in fests of IITs and it is large ground, shopping malls nearby and it is located in one of the major cities, so you will get all facilities a college student can have.
