Candidates who have passed a BDS or an equivalent degree recognised by the Dental Council of India are eligible to apply for Yenepoya Dental College And Hospital, Mangalore MDS course. As per the official website, the selection for MDS is based on NEET MDS scores. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission. Candidates must have BDS degree/certificate, DGHS allotment letter, result/rank letter issued by NBEMS, etc.

BDS is the flagship course of Yenepoya Dental College and Hospital. As per the NIRF report 2024, the median package offered during BDS 2023 stood at INR 6 LPA. Further, the placement rate recorded during BDS placements 2023 was 100%. Earlier, the median package offered during Yenepoya Dental College BDS placements 2021 stood at INR 4.48 LPA. The exam is conducted once a year in offline or paper-pencil-based test (PBT) mode for three hours and 20 minutes or 200 minutes. Once selected, candidates are offered seat. The answer to this question depends on the course opted by the candidates. In case of BDS and MDS, aspirants must pass NEET-UG and NEET-PG, respectively. For all other courses, the selection is based on merit of the aspirants in the last qualifying exam. Yenepoya Dental College and Hospital admissions are primarily entrance-based. The college considers NEET-UG score for admission to BDS programme whereas, NEET-PG score is considered for MDS. Besides, admission to Diploma and BSc course at YDCH is based on merit of the candidates in the last qualifying exam. Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital accepts NEET-UG score for admission to BDS programme. NEET is an offline exam conducted once a year  for three hours and 20 minutes or 200 minutes. As far as the NEET exam pattern is concerned, there are 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology, out of which 180 questions need to be attempted. Aspirants with rank equal or above the NEET cutoff are offered seat in the BDS programme.

Students pursuing BDS from Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College and Hospital can apply for scholarship offered by Indian Dental Association. IDA provides IDA-Colgate Merit Awards. Students wishing to get the scholarship should be an under graduate student of BDS and, more importantly, an IDA Member. They must be among the first three rank holders in the respective BDS academic years.

NTA conducts NEET once in a yearin offline or paper pencil based mode. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Masters of Dental Surgery is conducted by NBE or National Board of Examination in online mode.
