DoT, Shivaji University does not conduct an in-house entrance exam for BTech admission. The admission is based on the merit lists released by the MHT-CET cell (DTE), which is based on the applicants' scores in JEE (Mains) and MHT-CET. The exact dates for the two accepted entrance exams vary from year to year. These dates are released by the respective conducting authorities on their official websites. The tentative timelines in which these exams are conducted are given below:

BTech admission at Shivaji University's Department of Technology, Kolhapur, is subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility norms laid down by the AICTE and DTE norms for BTech admissions in Maharashtra. The general eligibility criteria as per the AICTE and DTE norms are as follows:

Department of Technology, Shivaji University provides effective placement support to BTech students. It also conducts training sessions to help students grab the best recruitment opportunitites. As of now, the course-specific report on BTech placements has not been released by the department. In 2023, 75 companies visited the campus and offered job to 150 students. The the highest and the average packages offered during the placement drive for all courses were INR 7.50 LPA and INR 3.50 LPA, respectively. To apply for the BTech and MTech courses offered at the Department of Technology, Shivaji University, students need to duly fill in the application form. While filling the form, students are required to upload the document listed below:

The total fee for the UG course at Shivaji University is 4 lakhs. It is only the course fees. The other fees that include are transportation fees, mess fees, and hostel fees incase if you are a hosteler. As compared to other colleges the total fees for UG courses are quite low. You can choose this college as the placements in the college are above 75%.
You have to keep in mind of other expenses other than college total fees (4 lakhs) like Sem fees etc. Finally, the college is a great option to take the UG course at the Department of Technology at Shivaji University.

The highest package offered for B.Tech students at Shivaji university is 7.7 LPA and the lowest package is 3 LPA. The 5th semester students are eligible for campus placements. More than 50 companies come to recruit students every year like Tcs, Wipro, Infosys. Last year 75% of the students got placements in different companies.
You can get an even higher package after gaining experience in the company after working for 2 to 3 years. The average package is 3.5 LPA. The highest package in this college is not very high when compared with other colleges.

To get admission to B.Tech at the Department of Technology the student must be qualified with a minimum of 45% of marks in his college. There is a total of 350 seats available in the Department of Technology at Shivaji University. The college is the best option to pursue B.Tech. They also consider exams like JEE Main, ICAR AIEEA and MHT CET. If you score good in the mentioned exams it is easy to get admission to B.Tech in this college.
The cutoff for Civil engineering is 6.32, Mechanical is 45, Food technology is 59. The cutoff will change every year and students must choose their branch on their interests and have to achieve the cutoff
