Design is a growing field in India. Students are increasingly drawn towards design courses. One such course is B.Des. B.Des comes in different specializations with plenty of opportunities in the job market. Given that you hold a strong portfolio, skillset and experience.
B.Des equivalent in most countries abroad could either be BFA or BA in different domains of design. The scope after such courses is pretty decent in foreign countries as well.
Please note that the industry can seem saturated at start but with consistency and efforts you can land good jobs & good pay in both spectrums.

The curriculum blends core design theory with hands‑on projects, covering 2D and 3D animation, character design, motion graphics, and industry‑standard tools. Learning is structured around live projects, workshops, and industry collaborations, which help students build a strong portfolio. Graduates usually move into roles in animation studios, gaming, advertising, and media houses, with several recruiters visiting campus for design and media profiles.

To put it simply, it depends. You have to have a strong portfolio, a genuine interest in your niche and some relevant internships and projects.
The field of design by nature is vast. Since creativity has no bounds, so do the opportunities. Once you get in the industry, even at the entry-level pay and role there's only going forward from that point on.
You have scope in fields like - Graphic Design, Interior Design, Fashion Design, Footwear Design and many more in both India and international set-ups.
