I am not aware about CEPT University, I can share my experience about Lovely Professional University At LPU you are eligible with Commerce stream, but you should have at least 60% with English. In Interior Designing, two types of courses are offered,
1)B.Sc. (Design - Interior and Furniture)
2) B. Design (Interior & Furniture)
There is slight distinctive about B. Design and B.Sc. Course for interior and furniture design. It is primarily differentiated on the basis of programme duration. B. Design programme is a 4 year programme whereas B.Sc. Is a 3 year programme, it depends on the student whether they have to pursue B. Design or B.Sc. In B. Design, the 4th year is mainly concentrating on the course work. Eligibility of both the course is 60% in Class 12th, (with English). There is no issue of Commerce or Science background. Why not. You can do car designing after completing your XII exam. As my cousin's brother also completed his Bachelor's degree in Automobile and transportation design so I know it very well. He was selected UID for his study so I can share their admission process with you. After completing your higher secondary exam from any recognised board with minimal 50%, you have to sit for their admission test. There will be 3 rounds of selection test. First round is Design aptitude test, that first round will be the written exam, and if you are shortlisted for the first round, then they will call you for the second & third rounds, which will be Studio test & Portfolio evolution. If you can be qualified successfully by these exams, then you are more than eligible to take admission for your design courses. Best of luck for your future dear.

For the year 2020,(4 year full time-B.Des program) in Fashion Design in UID,the fees structure is total 18 lacks. You have to pay the fees before every semester.That means total 8 installments are there.
in UID luxurious hostel facilities are there,Three Kind of hostels available- Twin AC,Triple AC and Triple Non AC, Fees per year (Food+Hostel) varies from 1.2 lacks to 1.7 lacks. It depends which hostel you will choose.
