Dibrugarh University accepts the exam scores of two entance exams for admitting students to its BTech programmes. These exams are JEE (Main) and Assam CEE (Engineering). A candidate with a valid score in any one of the two mentioned exam is eligible for admission to the BTech programmes of Dibrugarh University. However, candidates applying with Assam CEE scores must have the permanent residence certificate of Assam. Hence, JEE (Main) becomes mandatory for the applicants who do not have a permanent residence certificate of Assam.

Dibrugarh University BTech fee includes components like the admission fee, tuition fee, library fee, SAF fee, development fee, laboratory fee, sports board fee, etc. The BTech tution fee at the universtiy ranges between INR 33,000 and INR 3.5 Lakh. The exact fee amount depends upon the choice of BTech stream/specialisation. The candidates also have to pay an application fee of INR 1000 during online application. No, the BTech admissions into Dibrugarh University are decided on entrance basis only. Only the candidates with a valid score of one of the accepted entrance exams are considered eligible for admission to the various streams of BTech at the university. The accepted entrance exams are Assam CEE (for students with permanent residence certificate of Assam) and Jee (Main). The university releases a cut-off list based on the scores of the two entrance exams. Admission offer is made to the candidates who clear the required cut-off and fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed for Dibrugarh University BTech programmes.

Yes, BTech in Petroleum Engineering at Dibrugarh University is offered as a full-time course at the UG level. The other BTech streams available at Dibrugarh University are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Admissions to these courses are based on the merit of CEE Assam (Engineering) or JEE (Main). Dibrugarh University offers BTech programmes in 4 spacialisations. To become eligible, students should have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry is not mandatory for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, and BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. For the candidates belonging to the general category, the minimum aggregate required in the compulsory subjects in Class 12 is 45%.
