There is no fix guidelines from UGC and AICTE related to B.Tech distance education and even good companies do not consider B.Tech distance mode students.
So, according to me you should plan for regular mode of education only for knowledge, skills, placement and recognition of the programme.

Yes, you can pursue B.Tech through distance mode. There are many universities, which provide distance B.Tech course.
Below mentioned are the universities offering B.Tech through distance mode:
1. Jaipur University.
