For BA economics hons. Without having a maths background in 11th and 12th I think you can clear some competitive exam and get into DELHI UNIVERSITY and if you are thinking of private one you can definitely go to chandigarh University and also hyderabad university. 

Hey! I checked this while applying too. For BA (Hons) Economics at Hindu College, you need to choose English or any other language, Maths or Applied Maths (this one is compulsory), and then two more domain subjects. It's better if at least one of those is related to economics like Economics, Business Studies, or Accountancy. I went with English, Maths, Economics, and Business Studies. Also, having Maths in 12th is a must for this course.

Yes, you'll find a significant amount of Maths used in Economics courses, especially at the UG-level courses. Though UG, Diploma, and Certificate level courses with basic concepts have simpler Mathematical models used in the program, you'll find more complex Maths concepts in the further level courses.
