It depends on your interest and hard work. Both the courses are good but I think that finance is better in comparison to economics.

Actually, change of college depends on the university norms. As far I know it is possible only in the beginning of 2nd year, provided that your previous year's marks are good.
First, get permission from the department of your college. You should talk to your teacher in charge.

Hi Sachin,
The scope of the subject is significant at both the national and international level because the ever-increasing role of economics is being understood by nations & organizations. There is extensive demand for economic researchers, analysts, consultants and strategists who are well trained to understand the changing economic trends. Economic advisors are now seen as an inevitable part of any small or large scale organisation. The field is highly interesting and offers a diversity of subjects within it. As per my opinion and knowledge, Delhi University conducts an entrance exam for MA in economics and being a category student, you have much more chances of getting admission, it doesn't matter from where you have completed your graduation degree.

All these are good subjects and have good scope after graduation. You just need to decide what kind of work you want to do. After BA in economics, you need to go for higher studies to get a good job. Business studies BBA alone don't have any value. You can do an MBA after that B.Com in Taxation/finance alone opens many gates. Most colleges also have placements for B.Com, BA and BBA are good courses. BA Econimics is an evergreen degree
But, if you need to work after graduation, B.Com is a better option. Good luck.

Economics is in much higher demand than finance. Finally, with an econ degree, you can do anything a finance major can, but the reverse is not at all true. Most jobs an econ major can do you would not be prepared for with a finance degree.

An IELTS score of 6.5 is a decent score, but I am not very sure of what you mean by an aggregate score of 7.0. Is it the overall IELTS band scale you are referring to or your Engineering/ Graduation CGPA/ SGPA. It is conducted purely to test your language skills in the four modules I. e. listening, reading, writing and speaking. No university, not just in Canada, but in the entire world will provide you scholarship based only on your IELTS score. The scholarships provided by the universities to any student are
