Its quite interesting to know that you are not interested in CA as well as CS. But let me assure that there are plenty of opportunities for an economics professional. There are firms that require to do number crunching. You can do PG and then take up teaching, you can become certified financial planner, join the finance department of any company. There are literally hundreds of openings for an economics professional.

Its heartening to know your interest in knowing the difference between these two subjects. Mass Communication in short means journalism. Communication in Mass scale. Print, electronics, social etc. Are the mediums through which it can be achieved. On the other hand, economics honours course is about economics. It includes finance, national and international monetary systems, functioning of banking industry, insurance, and many more subjects. My advise would be to choose that subject which excites you the most.
