Economics is growing as a popular subject among students especially for those who take up commerce.
There are several colleges in India that offer economics hons.

If you want to do B.Com, go for Delhi University. In which depending upon your 12 marks, you will get admission. But, for most of the, maths may be compulsory. Although, you should apply first. You can also do a combined course of 5 years offered by IIM Indore (BBA and MBA together). If you are free minded, you can also apply for law through CLAT exam. Try it out.

To teach economics at the high school level, teachers must hold a Bachelors degree in economics or business, have completed a teacher-training program, and you must be certified to teach in Kolkata.
Some colleges may ask for a master degree in economics.
