No, there is no negative marking for any wrong answer or not attenpted question in EMAT exam. As per the Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) marking scheme for every correct answer candidate will get one mark and for no marks will be deducted for any wrong answers like other management entrance tests- CAT. There will be no negative marking for unattempted questions. As per the EMAT exam pattern, the question paper will consist of 60 Multiple Choice Questions, of one mark each. There will be no sectional time limit. Candidates can start answering from any section they are comfortable with. The EMAT exam is conducted for a duration of one hour.

No, EMAT exam does not have sectional time limit to appear for the exam. However, students will be required to complete the exam in pre informed exam duration i.e, two hours and no extra time will be granted to the students under any circumstances. EMAT is a computer-based online exam the test screen will move from first section to the next section only when the candidate clicks the next button. Candidates have to be mindful of the on-screen timer and pre-decide the number of questions to solve in each section as there will be negative markings. It is not mandatory to solve all the questions in EMAT exam so candidates can devise a strategy to use the exam duration as per their strength and weakness. Candidates must reach the exam centre at least an hour prior to complete the frisking formalities at the EMAT exam centre.

Executive Management Aptitude Test (EMAT) is conducted by Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode for admission to Executive Management of Business Administration (EMBA). The examination is a in computer based mode, wherein candidates will have to report at the designated exam centre. EMAT exam is conducted for a duration of 60 minutes. EMAT 2026 notification has been released. Candidates seeking admission to Executive Masters in Business Administration programme must stay updated with the exam dates. EMAT 2026 application form link has been activated at the iimk.ac.in. on official website. Aspirants must visit the official website- iimk.ac.in to register for EMAT 2026 and submit the application form before the deadline. The EMAT 2026 application process includes filling of personal details, experience, uploading of relevant academic documents and payment of fees, without which the application will not be submitted. There will be several sections in EMAT 2026 application form- personal details, academic details, work experience, programmes, exam centre preference and fee payment.

In personal details section, the candidates will have to enter details such as name, date of birth, father's name, category, gender, nationality, communication address, email ID, mobile phone number, etc. 

In academic details section of the form, candidates must enter class 10th and 12th exam scores, Bachelor's degree details and marksheet and details of other postgraduate programme/professional courses (if any).

In Work Experience section, candidates must fill relevant work-experience if any, they need to fill in details such as name of the company, duration, etc.

At last, candidates must pay the EMAT application fee. The application fee can be paid in online mode only.
