I feel ECMT is way ahead of its direct competitors such as IBS Hyderabad. If I compare IMI Kolkata’s batch size, it’s around 188 strong which is way smaller than the humongous 1100 batch size of IBS Hyderabad. In terms of placements, IMI Kolkata holds the prestigious record of 100% placement since inception which is not the case for IBS Hyderabad as they could place only around 90% of its students as this significant difference in batch strength makes the competition for getting placed even bigger in IBS Hyderabad. ECMT Kolkata has a strong corporate connect due to the IMI brand being India’s first Corporate-sponsored B-school. There are many tier-2 colleges in Hyderabad which makes bringing in more companies and negotiating placement packages tougher than ECMT Kolkata as there aren’t many tier-2 colleges in the location it’s present. In IMI Kolkata there are single and dual occupancy hostel facilities that are open for selection for students but in IBS Hyderabad the hostel rooms are limited mostly for dual occupancy. To add to everything, being a student at ECMT Kolkata, I can say that there is a lot of peer learning and networking opportunities that one can definitely experience here.

As per the data available on the official website, 40 students of the college were placed in reputed companies during placements 2023. The top recruiters of Eminent College of Management and Technology during placements 2023 were TCS, Wipro, Indigo, Ohio Hospital, Rapido, etc.

Eminent College of Management & Technology (ECMT) is a private college in Kolkata, West Bengal. The institute was founded in 2015 and is affiliated to MAKAUT. ECMT offers various UG courses like BCA, BBA with various specializations. The institute also offers M.Sc in Computer Science at PG level.

Admissions to some UG courses like BBA, BCA, B.Optometry are given on the basis of merit on the qualifying examinations. For admission in BMLT, candidates have to appear in the CET exam conducted by MAKAUT. 

ECMT has some amazing faculty who are also alumni members of IIT Kharagpur, BIT Mesra, Jadavpur University and Calcutta University. The institute have an active placement cell that conducts placements every year.
