Engineer exams

The Computer based Online Entrance Test BVP CET for admission to B.Tech. (Engineering) Programme will be of 200 marks. The examination consists of one question paper set in English medium and will consist of 200 multiple choice questions with four alternatives, with only one correct or most appropriate answer. One Mark will be awarded for each correct answer. It will consist of 80 questions on Mathematics, 60 questions on Physics and 60 questions on Chemistry. The duration of the examination is of 3 hours. These questions will be in general. There is no negative marking for the wrong answer chosen or unanswered questions by the candidates. So, you have 1.11 minutes for every question and there is no negative marking. Because paper difficulty level is very less, so paper can be attempted very easily in given timings.

PSU (Public Sector Undertakings) jobs are the government jobs that the selected students secure via the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering). Also, you may apply directly to many PSUs; they take their own exams.

1- Junior Engineers come under Group C for very freshers having a pay scale of INR 9400 to INR 34800 Grade Pay 4600 and after 3 years of working you will be in Group B but the post will be the same I. e. SSE, the only difference will be in the pay scale incremented by 12 percent.
2- It just sounds good SSE but here nothing has to do about Engineering. The person recruited for these posts only to supervise the technicians (e. g Fitter, Electricians, turners, etc. ). To do work properly, so it is a must that the person supervising has a background of Technical knowledge Of various engineering Departments so named Section Engineering.
3- Promotions in this field is based on Seniority so it can't be guaranteed that you will be promoted just after the 3 years of joining, which usually happens in railways job for the Indian Engineering Service. Promotion could take 5 to 6 years to be a senior in the department and about 10 years to come out from Group B.
4- Indian Engineering Service is a gazetted post. A section engineer needs to spend 10 years to reach these posts having conditions of Seniority in their Department.
5- Indian Engineering Service post does not have any close identities with the freshers of SSE.
6- JE junior engineer cant be promoted to the post of IES throughout his whole career. JE could only be up to SSE or A very senior in a department or Section but no further.
8- Pay Scale-
For SSE: INR 9,400 to INR 34,800
basic pay: INR 9400 having 4600 Grade pay equals INR 14,000 in total basic. DA of basic: 119 percent I. e INR 16,660
HRA: 30 percent of basics for metros cities I. e. INR 4200
TA: for BIKE- 8 rs/km or for CAR- 16rs/km and there are many depends on the performance of individuals like Over time, Night shift allowance, Leave, Gratitude, Risk, etc. Many are there. Total: INR 14000+ INR 16660+ INR 4200+ INR 3000 TA+ INR 2500 - INR 40,300 or usually INR 38000 to INR 39000 (based on the 6th pay commission).
9- Perks: Own a quarter B types, Medicals for self and Dependents, free 1st class Pass for railways travel in a particular route (including Rajdhani, Satabdi, Toronto) 3 in a year for 4 months each, free schooling for children, free clubs, etc. Within Township Not in Open Line. 5- Control Systems
Modeling and representation of systems, Feedback, TF, Block diagrams, signal flow graphs, Transient and steady-state analysis of LTI systems, Routh-Hurwitz and Nyquist criteria, Bode plots, root loci, lag, lead, & lead-lag compensators; P, PI, PID controllers; Solution of state equations of LTI systems.
