IIT Goa accepts JEE Advanced for admission into BTech courses. The cut-off for JEE Advanced is released in the form of Cutoff ranks. The number of seats available is directly propotionate to Cutoff ranks. The trend observed indicates that as the number of students passing the exam increases, the closing ranks also increase. Looking at the Cutoff ranks for this year, the numbers showed that the number of seats have increased in comparison to the last year, as the Cutoff ranks have also increased. This also indicates that the competition has declined. Looking at the Cutoff ranks fot the past three years, the competition has been fluctuat

Yes, you might! This is called lateral entry. Colleges may offer seats in the 2nd year of B.Tech CSE for Diploma holders.
Check university websites for their lateral entry process and entrance exams (or LEET scores). Aim for related fields like ECE or consider your foundation for fields like CSE.

No, it is not possible to progress directly from 1st year B.Sc IT to 2nd year B.Tech CSE. Mostly, students have to appear for entrance exams to enroll in B.Tech program.
However, some universities do provide an option for B.Sc (CS/IT) graduates seeking lateral entry into the 2nd year B.Tech CSE program. Look further into various research universities that implement this type of enrollment for this option.

For Sure! Quite a few scholarships are earmarked for first year B.Tech CSE students. These can come as merit related (high marks) or need related (financial aid) To name some:
Government Schemes: Central & state schemes provide financial support on merit and on the basis of one’s background (Eg: SC/ST/OBC).
University Schemes: Several universities offer scholarships to the meritorious students particularly those who secure the top scores.
Private Schemes: NGOs and Companies sometimes roll out scholarship programs within certain fields of study, for instance, CSE.
Investigate and Submit applications early as the deadlines do change.

Yes, you can change your stream in B.Tech after completing a Diploma in Electrical Engineering through lateral entry. This allows you to join the B.Tech programme directly in the second year. Universities typically conduct entrance exams or accept scores from state-level LEET (Lateral Entry Entrance Test) for admission. Consider related engineering fields like ECE or ICE, or other engineering fields like CSE or Mechanical Engineering. Research universities, prepare for entrance exams, and consider subject overlap to ease the transition.
