Food Technology is a branch of Engineering that basically deals with the techniques that are involved in the production, processing, preservation, packaging, quality management, and distribution of food products.
It also teaches the creation of new food products, their packaging and methods of preservation. Food Technology deals with areas of specialised food products such as Alcohol, Beverages and Oil Products also.

Marine Engineering could be quite complex to study but then again, what is known about it is not necessarily harder than other types of engineering. The core curriculum is not significantly different from most other engineering fields and relies heavily on knowledge in Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanisms.
However, Marine Engineering includes additional challenges, for instance, hydrodynamics to visualize how fluids particularly water behaves around the moving vessels, corrosion which is a great concern in marine environment since vessels work in salty water, and many more skills about marine propulsion such as engines and propellers.&

Yes, Marine engineering is one of the great career options in India, however it come with its own set of challenges. The prospects in the job market are that with increasing maritime transactions the job schedule is demanding and off-shore time is comparatively less, which may be a drawback. Promotion does exist, and the positions are relatively well paid since graduates start off with approximately INR 40,000 per month salary that then rises as more experienced workers are paid significantly more. But, the growth might be relatively slow as compared to the other branches of engineering.
