I would give the TISS programme a high rating - based on the following:
To become a social entrepreneur, you need to understand the Biz and the nuances in which go in making a venture profitable or if it's a not-for-profit then sustainable. And for this some courses are important - especially HRM, Biz strategy, Marketing, Branding etc. TISS as an organisation has been an expert in RD for many years - and hence has an edge over other Social Entrepreneurship programmes - and they have grassroots working knowledge - hence making their course of high value. After all YOU shall have to implement the knowledge on the ground. Their course structure itself is highly field-oriented - hence shall give YOU a chance to learn while you work
If you have an idea - then great - use the platform TISS gives you to not just nurture your idea - but also make it flourish. If you don't have an idea - that's also perfectly fine. In my opinion, not all doers have ideas. And I have met many people with good ideas - who have not actually started up and done anything. Use the opportunity at TISS to find an idea of your own - or become co-founder with someone.
