Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) accepts the scores of the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to its undergraduate (UG) medical and dental programs. NEET is a single entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other UG medical courses across India.

To be eligible for admission to PIMS, candidates must qualify the NEET exam and secure a rank within the institute's cut-off range. The cut-off scores vary depending on the program, reservation category, and domicile preference.

NEET Scores for MBBS Admission:

• General Category: 523 marks (2022)
• OBC Category: 473 marks (2022)
• SC/ST Category: 439 marks (2022)

NEET Scores for BDS Admission:

• General Category: 454 marks (2022)
• OBC Category: 404 marks (2022)
• SC/ST Category: 364 marks (2022)

Reservation Category:

Candidates belonging to reserved categories (OBC, SC, or ST) have lower cut-off scores to meet compared to general category candidates.

Domicile Preference:

Candidates with Maharashtra domicile or rural domicile may receive additional benefits or weightage in the admission process.

The selection process for admission to PIMS is based on the following factors:

Candidates will be called for counseling based on their rank and eligibility criteria. Final selection will be made after considering the candidate's overall performance in the counseling process.

 The TS EAMCET exam is used for admission to the BTech programme at Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management. For admission to a variety of professional courses provided in universities and private colleges throughout the state of Telangana, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) administers the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) state-level examination, known as the TS EAMCET. After the exam, there will be three steps to the TS EAMCET Counselling process: Phase 1, Phase 2, and Final Phase. Additionally, a spot round for private, unaided engineering colleges will be held. Starting from the academic year 2023-24, Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences has decided not to conduct the Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test anymore. Previously, Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test scores were considered alongside the National Eligibility Entrance Test  for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry program. However, now, NEET is the only entrance exam considered for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry programme admissions at Rajasthan University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences. Besides the NEET score, candidates need to fulfill specific eligibility criteria, including completing the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognised board. Additionally, candidates must be domiciled of Rajasthan.
