IIFT entrance exam is a computer based test. It is conducted in a single session at designated test centres. At the exam centre, every candidate will be allotted a computer system on which they will have to enter their answers with the help of computer mouse.
Candidates are allotted the IIFT test centre in the city of their preference. IIFT marking scheme is similar to other MBA entrance exams but has unique features. There is differential marking in IIFT which means not all the sections of the question paper carry same marks. The Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability are carry 3 marks per correct attempt and -1 per each incorrect attempt.
General Awareness section carries less marks than other sections. In this section 1.5 marks is allotted to every correct attempt and -0.5 marks are allotted for every incorrect attempt.

IIFT exam has four sections - Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and General Awareness. Among all the four sections, Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension has the maximum weightage as it has 35 questions. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning section has 30 questions, Quantitative Ability has 25 questions and General Awareness has 20 questions. Check the table below for IIFT sectional weightage which includes total number of questions and total marks.

For 2024 admission, IIFT did not conduct the entrance exam,. Earlier, the National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the IIFT entrance exam on behalf of the institute. In the IIFT exam, about 110 questions were asked from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability and General Awareness. The exam was held in computer based test mode and the exam duration is 2 hours. There was no sectional time limit. The questions were in MCQ and non-MCQ format carrying 3 marks each. No other entrance exam score is accepted for admission in MSc courses at Doon University. The only way to get admission to MSc programme at Doon University is to appear in the entrance exam conducted by Doon University.

No. The authorities did not accept any requests for change in the exam centre after the application and slot booking process was over. Since the allotment of exam centres were done as per the preferences submitted in the VITEEE 2024 application form, the candidates were advised to be careful while making their selection. The authorities allotted the candidates as per the preferences that they had submitted and the seat availability in each centre. All candidates were advised to visit their allotted exam centre a day earlier so as to become familiar with the area.

No. The authorities did not notify the candidates beforehand regarding the release of VITEEE 2024 admit card. The candidates were required to keep checking the official website to remain updated with the latest information regarding the VITEEE 2024 hall ticket. Since the admit card was generated after the slots were booked, there was no official VIT 2024 admit card date. Candidates had to access the slot booking facility and complete the process immediately to download the VITEEE 2024 admit card.

No. The authorities did not accept soft copies of the VITEEE 2024 admit card at the examination centre. All candidates had to present their original VIT 2024 hall ticket printout along with the other required documents at the examination centre. If the VITEEE admit card was not presented, then the candidates were not allowed to attempt the examination. All candidates were advised to immediately download and print out the admit card after it is released.

Candidates had to present their VITEEE 2024 admit card along with additional documents while reporting at the exam centres. The authorities required an identity proof along with the VIT 2024 admit card from the candidate. The identity proof had to be government approved document such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card, School ID, etc. In case the candidates were unable to present their VITEEE admit card 2024 and identity proof at the centre, then they were not allowed to attempt the examination.
