Preliminary Exam - The Preliminary exam has 100 multiple-choice questions from English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total duration of the exam is one hour. Each section has 20 minutes and 30 questions. The maximum marks for each section are 30. There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Main Exam - The Main exam has 190 multiple-choice questions from General/Financial Awareness, General English Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude. The total duration of the exam is 160 minutes. Each section has a different number

Students require the following documents for ATMA counselling process:
- ATMA rank card
- ATMA admit card
- Aadhaar Card
- Class 10 marksheet
- Class 12 marksheet
- Graduation Marksheet
- Transfer Certificate
- Caste Certificate of SC/ST/BC/Minorities, as applicable
- Two recent passport-size photographs.

Students who qualified for the ATMA counselling must:
- Visit the website of participating institute
- Click on the button reading 'New Registration'
- Fill in the PID Number
- Several details are prefilled from the ATMA form, including personal and academic details in the registration form.
- Upload photograph and signature in the specified format and size.
- Pay the counselling fee via the available payment modes.
After successful payment, students will receive a payment confirmation message on their registered mobile number and email ID. They then need to appear for the further selection procedure, which includes GD What and PI.
