If someone misses the internal exam at RIMT University, it may lead to the following consequences:

  • The student's absence during the exam may be recorded, negatively impacting their overall score.
  • By missing the internal exams, the student may struggle to perform well in the final exams since the internal exams serve as preparation for them.
  • The student's ability to enhance their overall CGPA may be hindered as the internal exams contribute to the calculation of CGPA.
  • In some cases, the student might be placed on academic probation, with close monitoring of their academic progress.

Don't worry, if you miss the Internal exam, you'll not be failed in the semester.
Internal Exams (Mid-Semester Exam)Marks are taken into consideration in the final evaluation procedure for VJTI .

Actually, the final evaluation score comprises the results of the midterm, final, and teachers' assessment.
which gives the midterm exam 20% weight, the final exam 60% weight, and the instructor evaluation 20% weight.

If someone misses the internal exams by some medical reasons, then you will be able to give re-exam after the semester ends.

But always try to attend the exams, mostly it is hard to clear re-exams.

Admissions to the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Dharwad for BTech programs are not through direct admission. These are based on national level entrance examinations, such as the JEE Main. In a centralised counselling process carried out by the Joint Staff Assessment Authority, selected candidates take part. The number of seats shall be allocated on the basis of merit, choice selection and seat availability. For certain categories, a limited number of seats may be available.

You can take the internal exam again if you miss it for some reason.  However, if you also miss your re-exam for some reason, your grade will be determined by how well you performed in class and how well you did in prior assignments.  If you speak with the teacher, you will receive credit for speaking; otherwise, you will not.
