No, you will not be eligible for a scholarship if you only pass NTSE Stage 1. To be eligible for a scholarship, you must also pass Stage 2. Passing NTSE stage one will make you eligible to appear for NTSE stage two. After passing stage two, you will be awarded a scholarship of approximately Rs. 1250 per month up to the 12th grade. If you only pass the state-level NTSE exam and do not pass stage two at the national level, you will not be eligible for a central scholarship. Some states might award scholars or give preferential treatment to stage one merit students, but there are no such mandatory scholars from the government for NTSE stage 1.
