If you want to get into NIT Trichy and if you are not worried about the department, your rank has to be below AIR 20000. In 2018, scoring 145 or more in JEE Mains would put you in this position. Selecting a college depends on a lot of factors. Placements
Faculty
Infrastructure
College life
Past achievements
Ranking and Reputation etc. Based on these IIIT Gwalior is definitely a better option than the new IIITs and it is considered one of the top IIITs in India. You should consider the upgrades and downgrades resulting from the switch, but I assure you IIIT Gwalior will not disappoint you.

Yes, it is possible. There are many ways to join B.Tech. In private colleges we have to pay amount for seats. For government seats we have definitely qualified the CET exams.
