The Cutoff for B.Tech varies depending upon the selection of college by the students and the overall ranking of colleges, the cut-off for School of Engineering and Technology, CMR University would differ according to the exam the individual had given.
For the KCET Exam, the overall cutoff rank ranged between 697-36596
And For the COMEDK-UGET exam, the overall cutoff rank was between 674-16275
The cut-off may vary depending upon various other factors and can differ with time, but based on past data, the cut-off could be met nearly to the above range itself.

Greetings,
The cost of B.Tech courses in School of Engineering and Technology vary between INR 7.4 Lacs to INR 16 Lacs ( total fees). It totally depends on the specialisation of the course. Like B.Tech CSE fees is little higher than the fees of B.Tech Civil Engineering. College provides many scholarship to students with different criteria which is helpful for the students who come from middle class family.

Yes, we can say that School of Engineering and Technology as good as Presidency University, Bangalore but it depends on the institute/college you choose. In India several Engineering colleges run by 'School of Engineering and Technology' in which some colleges are Average and Some are excellent, they have good placement rate, excellent faculty & infrastructure and high salary package, even they are not that much expensive as Presidency University, Bangalore. So, Yes ! There are many colleges under 'School of Engineering and Technology' which is good as Presidency University, Bangalore •

Assuming, you are talking about B.Tech in Public colleges, Presidency is more expensive and has a fee struture in the range of INR 2LPA - INR 4 LPA while in general, SETs are more likely to be in the range of INR 30,000 - INR 1 Lakhs per annum. This does not answer the question asked as there is a huge assumption that you are talking about BTech in public colleges. The answer varies significantly based on multiple factors like the stream chosen, hostel and other facilities, categories, the specific institutions selected, and even gender.
