Hi,
You need to clear entrance exam for admission. These are AIEEE, AICET, IIT JEE, JNU: Engineering Entrance Exam. Basic eligibility is 10+2 in Science stream with minimum 50% score. Some colleges that offer the post age-old, Mount Carmel College-Bangalore, Queen Mary's College-Chennai, Sai Nath University- Ranchi, Sharda University- Greater Noida.

It mainly depends on your interest, but according to me, if you want to start your business in food industry, then you can opt for the food tech, as this field requires less capital in starting as compared to the biotech. But, if you want to do the job then you should opt for the biotech as there is vast scope in the near future.

It is not a tough course. There is only simple elementary mathematics course. In degree mathematics just for knowledge but in degree food science and technology focusable area. If we have little knowledge of elementary mathematics like statistics, then we can easily pass the course.
Secondary subjects include Food Microbiology, Sanitation & Hygiene, Preparation & Packaging Materials, Food Analysis Adulteration & Testing, Food Toxicology, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Math.

You will come under other state quota. Counseling will be separately held for you. Anna University is general name to state government college. So, don't go by that name. Instead, use CEG,MIT,ACtech and so on. Food technology is provided by Actech.
