Yes, you can get into food sciences course with Science as your subject. However, few institutes requires candidates to have biology/Home Sciences as a subject in class 12. Also, if you could specify the course you are looking to pursue, I would be able to populate more specific details. Regards.

Admission is through CAP counselling based on the rank obtained in GATE conducted by DTE (Directorate of Technical Education) Maharashtra.
Candidates without valid GATE score need to appear for Shivaji University Entrance Exam.

Please check for your eligibility to pursue B.Tech in food technology in Institute of Chemical Technology from the criteria mentioned below:
Basic eligibility to pursue B.Tech in Food Engineering and Technology in Institute of Chemical Technology is that, candidate should have cleared class 12th with Mandatory Subjects : Physics, Mathematics.
Admission is based through counselling based on rank obtained in Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET). Regards.
