Forensic Science is the application of scientific knowledge and methodology to criminal investigation. Due to increase in crime rate and criminals, the scope of forensic science is increased exponentially. There are lots of job opportunities in the field of forensic science. The need for forensic scientists is huge all around the world, especially in India.

You can prepare for the CSIR NET Exam while doing M.Sc in Chemical Science. The CSIR NET Exam is conducted in the month of June and December for the students those have interest in making career in the lectureship and Research. You must do a Masters in Chemical Science with around 55% marks. There are many universities and colleges in India that provide Masters in Chemical Science. If you qualify the CSIR NET JRF Exam you can get a scholarship worth INR 25000 per month.

- Candidates holding a Bachelor's degree in relevant disciplines such as engineering, pharmacy, criminology, forensic science and science are eligible to pursue this course.
- Minimum aggregate marks required are 45-55% marks. It may vary from one college to another.

Forensic Science in India has a little scope in private jobs, that too depending on your expertise and from where you have studied. If you have studied from Amity University, Lovely Professional University, then there may be some scope or else in the government agencies, you can get the job as per the availability.
