With an SC category rank of ninety-three thousand six hundred forty-seven in JEE Mains, securing admission into an NIT, IIEST, or any of the GFTIs will be extremely challenging. These institutions are highly sought-after, and their cut-offs for the SC category are significantly lower, often falling within the top ten to fifteen thousand ranks for most branches. While your General category rank of over ten Lacs further confirms the difficulty, your SC rank is the key factor. For this rank, your best option would be to explore state-level engineering colleges and private universities where admission criteria might be more flexible.

To be honest, at this percentile, the chances for NITs and IIITs are quite slim - even with the OBC reservations. The competition is really tough, and most of these institutes have much higher cutoffs, even for reserved categories.
That said, don't lose hope! Sometimes, a few distant or lesser-known GFTIs might have lower cutoffs, so it's worth checking last year's opening and closing ranks on the official JoSAA webiste. If you do find a possible option, make sure to look carefully at the branch and ca
