Gautam Buddha University admissions are a mix of merit and entrance basis. Aspirants can provide their CUET, JEE, GATE or scores in any other accepted national-level entrance exams. For many of the UG and PG courses, direct admission is offered based on merit. The university conducts GBU-ET for admission in LLM, PhD, BSc Clinical Psychology, MBA and MSc Nuclear Medicine courses.

Students have to pay the Gautam Buddha University fees timely. The fee ranges between INR 72,000 and INR 12 lakh. The fees for MA starts from INR 72,000 and goes up to INR 2.2 lakh. The total tuition fees for popular courses is as below:

Gautam Buddha University provides BTech programs requiring students to have passed 10+2 with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects, plus Chemistry, Biotechnology, technical vocational subject. Minimum of 45% marks & 40% for SC/ST is required in these subjects combined. Admission is based on Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test or JEE Main scores.

To be eligible for the MBA programme at Gautam Buddha University students must have graduation degree in any discipline with minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 45% for SC/ST. Admission requires valid scores in national level exams like CAT/MAT/CMAT/GMAT/XAT or university entrance test followed by Group Discussion & Personal Interview.
