No, Group Discussion or Personal Interview rounds are not at all mandatory in the BDes admission process of every college. There are more than 450 B Des colleges in India where the admission process differs depending on their set criteria.

If you are seeking admission to the top BDes colleges such as NIDs, NIFTs, or IITs then you may need to prepare for these rounds as they generally conduct them to assess and select candidates for the BDes program.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds for Master in Mass Communication admission are not necessarily conducted by every MMC college in India. However, colleges like IIMC may conduct these rounds to select candidates for the program.
These rounds generally include topics like current affairs, personal viewpoint, etc., and assess a candidate's listening and communication skills. You can check the admission process of your desired college and see if they include GDPI rounds in their process.

No, you don't have to prepare for any GD (Group Discussion) or PI (Personal Interview) round for BSc Computer Science admission. GD and PI rounds are generally included for master's or doctoral programs like MBA or PhD. Bachelor programme admissions are majorly based on merit, entrance, and counselling steps.
