1. Waitlist Movement Depends on Vacancies and Candidate Response: Your chances of conversion depend on how many candidates from the initial list accept the offer, and how many decline or fail to complete the formalities. If a significant number of candidates drop out, waitlisted candidates, including you, may get a chance.

2. Stay Updated and Prepared: Keep checking for updates from SIBM Hyderabad about your waitlist status. Stay in touch with the admissions office, and be prepared with backup options in case your waitlist number doesn't convert.

The final score is cumulative result of the written entrance exam, group discussion and the personal interview. The weightage is different for all the components. The below table will give you the idea about the weightage:

In most of the MBA colleges, the weightage of GD/PI for admission is higher than or equal to entrance exam score. At several IIMs, while CAT score has 30 percent weightage, GD/PI has 40 percent weightage. At non-IIMs too, more weightage is given to GD/PI as shortlisting of candidates is mainly based on personality assessment, to judge whether the candidate can be a good manager or not.

There are no negative marks in Indian Coast Guard Navik exam. Candidates need to secure the overall marks in the exam. There are also qualifying marks in the exam. Candidates are also required to secure the cut off marks in the exam as decided by the examination authority.

Congratulations on securing 161 marks in CMAT 2025! IMI Kolkata typically sets its CMAT cutoff around the 70th percentile. While exact percentiles can vary each year, a score of 161 may place you near or slightly below this threshold. However, admissions decisions also consider factors like your academic record, work experience, and performance in the Personal Interview (PI). It's advisable to apply and prepare thoroughly for the PI to enhance your chances. Wishing you the very best in your application process!

No, Group Discussions or Personal Interview rounds are not mandatory in the BDes in Interior Design admission process. Fulfilling the eligibility criteria and obtaining a good rank in the entrance exam is the only step you need to clear to be eligible for the BDes in Interior Design admission.

No, Group Discussion or Personal Interview rounds are not at all mandatory in the BDes admission process of every college. There are more than 450 B Des colleges in India where the admission process differs depending on their set criteria.

If you are seeking admission to the top BDes colleges such as NIDs, NIFTs, or IITs then you may need to prepare for these rounds as they generally conduct them to assess and select candidates for the BDes program.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview rounds for Master in Mass Communication admission are not necessarily conducted by every MMC college in India. However, colleges like IIMC may conduct these rounds to select candidates for the program.
These rounds generally include topics like current affairs, personal viewpoint, etc., and assess a candidate's listening and communication skills. You can check the admission process of your desired college and see if they include GDPI rounds in their process.
