Both VESIM and GNIMS are highly respected business schools in India, but VESIM is generally considered to be the better of the two. VESIM is consistently ranked among the top 10 business schools in India, while GNIMS is typically ranked between 20 and 30. VESIM also has a better placement record than GNIMS, with over 90% of its students getting placed every year, compared to around 80% for GNIMS.

It's difficult to get into the Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS) MBA programme with a 56 percentile in the CAT. The competition is high because about 15% of seats are filled by the All India Quota through the CAT exam. A 56 percentile is considered relatively low.

The 2023 cutoff for the MAHCET at GNIMS is 90.74 percentile. The 2023 cutoff for MAT at GNIMS is 59 percentile.

The admission process at GNIMS is primarily based on entrance tests. The admission season generally begins in June-July every year
