The cutoff for admission in 2024 to the Government College of Engineering, Amravati, differed greatly depending upon the programme and category. For the Home State quota, the closing cutoff scores ranged from 60.62 to 94.9. The B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering was the most competitive at a cutoff of 94.9. For the EWS quota, these scores were similar, reflecting high demand for specific engineering disciplines. Candidates must score these cutoff marks at the MHT CET. They will thus gain entry into the respective courses offered by the institutes for this academic year.

Government College of Engineering Amravati has a refund policy for tuition fees paid in consideration of cancellation of admission. If a candidate cancels his or her admission within seven days, the claimant receives a 90% refund of the total paid fees. The minimum of ?500 should have to be paid, however. The candidate needs to secure valid scores in national entrance examinations, such as JEE Main or MHT CET, in order to secure admission for the B.Tech courses. Once the scores have been obtained, students sit for the CAP, where seats are then allocated on the basis of merit and preferences. For M.Tech admissions, students have to qualify in GATE and, similarly, go through counseling. So, satisfying the entrance exam cut-off is a must to get into this college.
