To the point, the Avasari government-run engineering schools like Engineering and Research also offer scholarships like the EBC (Economically Backward Class) Scholarship, GOI Scholarships for SC/ST/OBC applicants, merit-based scholarships, as well as minority and state-sponsored scholarships for any eligible student. In fact, the fee structure for B.Tech at Government College of Engineering and Research, Avasari stands cheaper than the private schools. The fees would be about INR 25,000 per annum for general category students. For those belonging to the reserved categories, such fees are considerably lower - about INR 1,000 to INR 5,000. Furthermore, scholarships from both state and other government services are available for economically weaker students. Most would find the fees so low that they would not go in for student loans.
