Yes, Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) is a government institute.The Footwear Design & Development Institute was founded in 1986 by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of the Government of India. It has also been declared as the Institution of National Importance under the FDDI Act 2017. To get admission to this government college, candidates must have valid score in accepted entrance exam which is  FDDI AIST.

So in my opinion MDS at Government Dental college and hospital is a better option as compared to Nair Hospital Dental college.
