Through its Students' Welfare Association the Government College of Engineering and Ceramic Technology (GCECT) in Kolkata maintains an extensive selection of extracurricular activities.  The Regent Education and Research Foundation Group of Institutions, located in South 24 Parganas, is a private establishment accredited by NAAC, receiving a 'B' grade. RERF Kolkata provides a variety of diploma, undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programs in disciplines such as engineering, management, business administration and computer applications. The courses on offer encompass Diploma, B.E./B.Tech, BBA, MBA and MCA programs. Admissions to these courses are determined by merit obtained in entrance and qualifying examinations; however, this process can be quite competitive.
